Re: MPCNC Build
Forgot to update this for a while.... The machine is now mostly assembled. http://imgur.com/hULg9JWl.png I made some changes since this picture (optimized the zip ties a bit so that the "slack side" is behind the mounts), upgraded to actual cable staples, and also have the dw660 mounted to...

Re: MPCNC Build
I got some work done. the extrusion frame is cut and screwed together with corner braces. It turns out I messed up when I ordered the m6x20's as the heads don't actually fit into the profiles, so while the taps came out beautiful the bolts only go the the edge of the first extrusion and stop there. ...

Re: MPCNC Build
So yesterday my extrusions showed up so I arranged 4 pieces so that i could make a square the size I needed. I discovered that one of my assumptions about how the rails lay was incorrect, they do not overlap perfectly on the ends, but overlap each other with space on the end, in short the square is ...

Re: MPCNC Build
Thanks. Really I'm just impatient and writing the instructions out felt kinda like building it. Being an apartment dweller a laser, some 3d printers, a cnc router, and a drill press is probably about as far as I can push things. Maybe throw a mini lathe in too. As it is I'm already pretty restricted...

Re: MPCNC Build
I wrote a procedure for myself to put the table together. The materials list changed a bit, and probably will continue to change once i start putting it together. Edit: Fixed some errors in the materials list. Also realized I only really needed 1 countersunk hole and it would be easier to do that wi...

Re: MPCNC Build
Still waiting for the 2020 extrusions to arrive. I decided to spend a little time planning exactly how i'm going to mount this thing down. As usual, I do the majority of my planning/thinking in Inkscape. I used the length of the pipes i cut and layed them out in a square overlapping them so that the...
