Re: Arduino Mega lite shield and TB6600 clone axis

Yep, daisy chain them together. This allows each stepper to have it's own dedicated driver with identical input signals.

The TB6600 ENA is the same as DR EN. It is the driver enable line which allows you to turn the drivers on and off in software.

Re: Limit Switch Isolator Setup

I would think you can supply power to the optic from the same power supply side. The noise really comes from the signal line and the power and ground to the optical switch are simply powering a LED of some type. Optical limit switches can introduce noise as it is generated in the wires between the s...

Re: GRBL Mega 6 Axis Pinout

The link posted goes to a github 4-axis version. Is there a seperate url for the 6-axis? I'm not sure why dguerizec decided to call it 4-axis but it really is the 6 axis version (likely because it was originally for 4-axis then the others got added in too). If you look at the nuts_bolts.h file, you...

Re: Spindle Enabled

I don't have any helpful information other than it may be a GRBL behavior or within UGS itself. I do my testing with Candle and the spindle toggle works as expected. It may very well be sending the speed along with the command though. Overall, I haven't been too impressed with UGS when I use it for ...

Limit Switch Isolator Setup

I got another question today about making connections to and using the Limit Switch Isolator . When looking at the PCB from the top with the mounting holes up, the left side if the board is for connections to physical limit switches. The top terminal in each terminal block is for the switch ground c...

Re: MPCNC Build

It's looking good!

I know Ryan (from V1 Engineering) has a post on his site about increasing the stiffness of the Z axis: https://www.v1engineering.com/forum/top ... of-z-axis/ Maybe it will help?

Re: GRBL Mega 6 Axis Pinout

Looking at the pinout shown in the image, is it safe to assume that these pins are totally free for other uses? A0-A7 0-4 14-21 A12-A14 22, 23 36-50 If so, those unused pins are NOT broken out on the GRBLDuino Mega v1, right? Correct, all unmarked pins are available for other uses. Due to space con...
